Hello all, hope you don't find this question stupid!.
Both diodes have failed, red one some years ago and now the green.
Can they be replaced and if so what are their voltages as I'm finding it impossible to find a replacement remote keypad anywhere due to them now being obsolete.
you don't reply, theres a surprise ok you go on looking ,and forget the key pad offer

no need to be sorry alarm guy am an electronics guy so am used to go to component level but I norm find its a waste of time to replace components coz something causes the diodes to go by the time you trace this and that its not worth a candle

So sorry GTS.I never explained it totally.
However you can get what I suggested.
Never split a RKP down to components, but have added and replaced.
Cheers

what you need are 3mm led,s power supply 2.4 volts, current 10ma as I said the pc b will have the dropping resistor fitted, cost of these from cpc are 00.9p

diodes are not 1 watt or 12 volt, but the dropping resistor to power it from a 12 volt source is a one watt resistor ,the keypad will have it built into the circuit so you just need get the small diode :-)be very careful use a 25 watt iron coz the board can be damaged very easy

when you say diodes I assume you mean led's.are they surface mounted?.If so they can be replaced with a soldering iron.Available of Ebay

Could be more than the LEDs going.
But a 1Watt 12vdc one will suffice.
Plenty on Ebay and the 9857 keypad IIRC fits this.
