Mend Singer 466 Sewing Stitch

I have a singer stylist 466 that won't complete a stitch?

My stylist 466 was working and I put it up. Today I got it out and it won't complete a stitch. It seems to hit something either forward or backward when I try by hand to make it work?

sounds like the machine has gone out of time, try a new needle first, I can send timing instructions but this site does not allow actual email addresses to be shown so type my email address as you say it not as you see it
