key symbol shows on screen, see below?

M/c filled, prog. set, screen briefly flashes up programme time, then shows "0" and key symbol.
Despite the m/c being set to operate at 60, the door opens freely. The key symbol flashes whatever the setting. The m/c was purchased in Jan.2008
