Any ideas on what makes my car ADD miles I haven't made/done?

I have a Renault Laguna 04 Reg. Recently I have noticed that my Mileometer is adding miles I haven;t done. For example, yesterday I made an 18mile round trip, my mileage clock told me afterwards I had completed a 105mile round trip!! Any ideas as to what may be causing this? Thanks
