How can I fix my alarm veritas r8?

its a very simple prob to find hope you sort it

the only switch you need to check is the door switch,its a glass switch and is very broken if you are a bit rough when fitting it,remove the switch short the switch wires then see if your panel resets ,if it does then the switch is open circuit and you need to replace it and as I said check that you have not wired the switch wires to the tamper circuit in the infra-red beam if you have done this the alarm will trip every time the beam picks you up

I will check the cable thanks doubt it's the actual switches as there are 3 of them 1is on a different circuit thanks for your help .

and check the wiring in the mag con too

then the wiring or your door contact is o/c mate check the wiring in the beam that u have not wired the switch wire to the tamper con in the beam

Thanks, Yeah I have checked the contacts and if I short out the zone they are wired into the panel does set as normal literally pulling my hair out :) also have you ever came across a pir that sets the alarm off when it is unset I have checked it isn't programmed to tamper , panic or fire and set an unused zone to these for fault finding

check the door contact and the wiring ,if you don't have a test meter just short out the door contact terminals in the panel and see if it will set now,beware the mains power
