How can I fix sound on 2006 trutech flat screen model plv16190?

The picture works and sound icon comes on screen up and down but no sound at all comes out. Does this model need extra speakers on each side if so what can be used in replacement

So it's not new and you don't have the user guide and have never used it before and you very probably don't have the remote control for it.

You would do best to ask the previous owner - the person you bought it from.
