Mend Machine Wont Start

The machine won't start?

When I set my machine to the program I want and press the start button nothing happens. The door sits and locks but the program doesn't start, can you please help?

"Tony offers to sell you the part that he claims will solve your problems".

Its a shame because some of us genuinely want to help, while others just want to make money

So you see Tracey - I guess a failed water inlet solenoid - Lennon guesses an open circuit motor and volunteers the exact cause - and Tony offers to sell you the part that he claims will solve your problems.

It's like Cilla's Blind Date - which one will you choose?

Tracey if it's a Hotpoint, Indesit or Ariston then this is nusually a main module fault. We stock them at £59.88 + £6 post ready programmed (exchange). Call us on 01159652118 tomorrow or order online at www.emwelec.co.uk Tony

motor open circuit, most likely brushes

Tracey - there are better people than me on here - people who actually know about washing machines - but the first thing that should happen is that water should come in - you should see it and hear it.

If there's no water then the programme won't start.

A kinked pipe - tap turned off but more likely a failed inlet solenoid - relatively easy to fix once you have the spare part - Torx driver bits too.

Good luck...
