Mend Singer 196k205 Needle Lower Thread

196k205 bobbin trouble?

My bobbin holder has come out of alignment, resulting in either the needle hitting the case; lower thread not being picked up or entanglement when both threads meet. Help very much needed.. Not sure I have the bobbin holder adjusted correctly. When it first happened the machine felt like it was being restricted. |I| found that the bobbin holder had slipped. Now I have adjusted it it wont seem to catch the thread properly.

hook must be approx one mm above needle eye when needle bar is in upwards motion.make sure the bobbin case got a drop off oil between bobbin case and hook
