Too true mate.

Makes me laugh we have calmaster in workshop to save the lads having to send their IBT's off for recal but we have to send calmaster off periodically which isn't cheap :D.

Long live the fluke meter/tester,the old pencil type,can't go wrong :)

when you think of it e manno,our brain tells us of the world outside of our bodies,our eyes gives our brain the information ,it processes the info,and if it seems ok,we accept it as the truth ,but,is it,?who knows,and its the same with our test gear,if a bit of paper that we get with it says it ok we say good,they heap big company they know their stuff ,can you see what i mean ?
i spend a few bob on my fluke meters for my guys coz they are there the best,we get them tested every year,waste of time and money mate,electronics will last in excess of 100 years,mosts fauts are human based ie dry joints cheap shite used

Hey lads since we are on the subject of battery.

We all use ACT equipment yes!

How many batteries have you retested an hour or so later after they have failed the IBT test and retested ok?,

Gold plus fully calibrated,or well within the recal date due?,

We pay good money and put our faith in this equipment but me thinks it's not entirely accurate but we have to ACT on the results at that time.

Ps that's with good quality clips and leads.

The 9448 just like most scannies will power up in full alarm,

Chances are the battery is ok and all it needs is a reset with the input of your user code,

Gts is good man sending you the books.

Nick a simple service due sticker would suffice mate,let's not give the user/DIYer too much.Remember you have to earn a a crust. :D

if you give me an address i will post you the enginering and user manual so you can reset it back to the factory default codes,then you can put ur own code back in,you dont need give your home address,a work one will do

It's a shame that panels like this get mistreated(no offence to the above) I think from now on I'm gonna get some sticky label's to stick on end station's to remind home owners that the battery needs to be replaced every 5 years even though the majority will ignore,, Wish me and Gts could help you but as you know we can't share codes on here for many of reasons
