How do I fix my heritage sunbeam mixer?

I have a red heritage series mixer. Making mash potatoes one Thanksgiving and I guess the bowl jumped and the beaters jam. It makes a noise and the part that turns the beaters doesn't move. It worked fine the first two years. I bought my daughter a white one and have been using hers which is ok. Would really like to get mine working again. The only shop around is a hour and a half drive. Bought it around 2007. 350 watts. Standing mixer without locking bowls.
