my sewing machine works for so long, then all of a sudden my thread comes away from the needle, and also at times my needle breaks . ive cleaned my machine and oiled it, dont know what else to do, please could you help thankyou
You need to remove the presser foot & inspect the area around the hole in the needle plate,is it pitted or rough ? If its rough at the back if the hole that would indicate that you pull the fabric through,at the front of the hole you pull the fabric back.If this is the case & the plate is rough that could be the cause of your thread breaking.The rough edges can be removed by using a diamond needle file.Hope this helps.
