Mend Torbeck Bottom Entry Valve Cistern Toilet

No water in torbeck bottom entry valve?

Water has stopped entering my WC via the Torbeck bottom entry valve. I have removed the valve and turned water on. Water enters WC,but when I fit valve back on, The water will not enter the cistern.
HELP!! I'm BUSTING

Assuming the float is dropping and the needle valve is withdrawing properly.
Seperate the two parts of the valve to get at the diaphram make sure the centre needle valve hole is clear ALSO the small equalising hole. Check also that there is no debris jammed in the upstand tube in front of the pressure reduction spiral insert.
Has anyone been carrying out a mains water repair in your street recently?
