how to replace plastic in microwave door?

how to fix the hole in the plastic in the inside of my door of my ge microwave model no. jvm1540sp1ss that my husband accidently placed a hamburger to warm up without realizing it had a foil liner on it creating the hole. do i have to buy the whole door assembly to replace the plastic?
