DAF LF45 HARD TO START when below a quarter of a tank, this only started to happen after the fuel tank was replaced, it starts fine when there plently of fuel in there any ideas?
it is weird, it was a brand new tank same size, had 2 tanks on before, no engine warnings, the hand primer doesn't get hard when i pump it, i replaced just the hand pump not the whole unit that did nothing and still wont pump until its hard, there is still plently of fuel in tank its just below a quater of a tank its really hard to start, oh and i replaced the brass unions on the housing as well

weird one ,as the pick up is at the bottom of the tank,
is the sender reading correctly ?
is it a new tank or an old unit ?has been known for debris to block pick up at bottom of tank when low..
other issues are debri collects in the filter head,strip and clean ,not difficult...though generally that will put an engine warning on,when driving under load..
