every time the power goes off or i unplug the panasonic viera tv ?

purchased my panasonic viera tv from walmart summer 2012 and we unplugged the tv and it didnt come back on for days it happened again when our power went off due to ice storm i called the number for tech help and the guy told me to turn it off then hold down the power key and it still took days to come back on what to do
