daf cf 85 6x2 430?

hi, accelerator is cutting off three or four times a day and then comes back on after a few seconds when travelling , if stationary you can turn off the engine and wait a couple of mins and it will work again. we have changed the engine brake switch as our local Daf agent told us this could be the problem but its still happening ?

Having same problem only in wet weather,
loses all power, gets power back sometimes when still driving, otherwise I pull over it still idles normally and seems to clear itself in a minute or two
mine is a 05 CF85 430 MX engine

you possibly have a faulty petentiometer on the throttle pedal,remove plug from pedal and check for water ingress..or a wiring fault,which would generally fail where the cab tilts and flexes the loom ,identify loom you require and check for chaffing...wire numbers are 4677, 4678 ,4679, 4166 ,4680 ..check them for shorting to earth and for open circuits with a mutimeter

Hi, it is an 56 plate with the xe upec engine, it does have an engine brake, I have changed the button on the floor as I checked that with a test light and it was letting a constant feed through, that was coming up as a fault so we swapped it for one out of our other CF and the fault cleared and shown the brake coming on and off when you operate it, but the problem is still there, we sent the truck out and it went about 6 times yesterday ?

hi .. what year of vehicle is it and does it have the xe upec engine or the mx dmci engine ,also does the engine have an engine brake??? do you get any warnings
