Mend Bosch WFK2801 Washing Programme Wash

Bosch WFK2801 washing machine programme stalls?

Bosch WFK2801 programme set for full wash. Programme starts, fills with hot water then programme stalls. No error messages. Time indicator counts down but machine does nothing.
If the programme is set for rinse and spin only (as for starching) it works fine.
Can anyone help, please

you probabably need a new set of carbon brushes without which motor and then drum will not rotate
