Mend Vauxhall Astra Light Driving

exhaust emission light?

i have a v/hall astra, the exhaust emission warning light came on unexpectedly. it stays on while driving, is it safe to drive with this light on.

yes it is ,the sensor on the exaust system is either dirty or needs replaced on some cars you can see it stuck to the side of the exaust pipe at the front of the car,others when you open the bonnet u can see it with two wires leading away from it
