My clutch pedal has been sticking a bit since I bought the car a couple of years ago. Yesterday while driving, it stuck right to the floor, not allowing me to change gear until I physically lifted it up again. Reverse is a no-no, as the car just jumps and goes whether I'm touching the accelerator or not... Plus the car kept stalling on the way home. Any suggestions would be very welcome. Thanks
Just to try bleeding it would take 15-30mins at most and would be worth a go before the more costly g/box removal

Thanks, however I'm not a mechanic even the slightest bit. Would it be an expensive job at a garage?

If it goes into reverse ok with the engine off then it sounds like your clutch isn`t clearing. The fact the pedal stuck to the floor may be due to some air in your system and before removing g/boxes etc would make sure you have plent fluid in your reservoir and try giving your clutch system a bleed
