Took out the control board (wrote down wires) took out fuse, is not broken, no rust...any other ideas, I'm willing to try again.

Probably the main control board failed on this 20 year old model. Take out control module & open the box. Check the fuse next to where the power lead plugs in. If it has blown then look for corrosion & signs of leakage from the aluminium fill chamber down the centre of board. It has components attached to the side and this chamber acts as a heatsink to keep them cool but over time the water corrodes the walls and pin holes develop & water leaks on to the PCB & the components. Only solution would be a new control board but is expensive considering age of this model. Replacing the fuse will not work it will just go bang again when you turn power on.
