Mend Pro 1600 Power Motor Coming

How can I fix my Pro1600 pwr power washer?

The motor runs and the water comes through the handle but as well as water coming out of the attachment correctly, it is also hissing out of the handle which clearly is not right and is affecting the pressure. Any ideas. Is it easier to buy a new power washer
