hdmi port not working?

hello
i got a HDTV from a friend not long ago and i went to hook the PlayStation 3 to the Hdmi port but all i get is no signal i was wondering if there is a way i could fix it by replacing the hdmi port inside. The HDTV is a grunkel 22'' everthing else works fine it Has dvd player built in i have tryed playing the ps3 the normal way you know with the 3 color cables it just look really bad when you been playing it in hd all the time if anyone knows if there is parts for this tv would be really good thanks
