what part do i need?

I have a HOTPOINT AQUARIUS condenser dryer CTD00, as water kept gathering at the bottom i replaced the condenser unit, still the water gathered and the empty water light stopped on, then we had a bad burning smell, after taking the back off we noticed that the wires in the unit by the pump were burnt really bad to a crisp! i'm surprised that it didn't catch fire! what i need to know is, what is the part called? it's a little black block (maybe a fuse i don't know) that has wires connected to it that run into the back of the dryer and 1 wire that fits into the pump
