Mend Triton T80si Power Water Control

Triton T80si?

My Triton T80si power shower has suddenly started to leak/gush water from the control unit; I assume some seal or other has failed but do I really need to abandon the entire unit or is there some stage short of this? The water is soft so I doubt limescale build up is the problem.
