Renault scenics generally on that year Have Disc brakes Fitted front and rear, up to year 2000 many of the smaller engined eg:up to 1.6 megane Scenics had had Disc brakes fitted to the front and Drum brakes fitted to the rear Hope this helps!

my guess it being an older motor is pads and discs on front,drums and shoes on rear
