Scantronic 9026?

Hi debz I've been following your posts and rest assured you are in Alarm's more than capable hands here,but may I say that it seems you are a bit out of your depths,i also read that you were moving in equipment and wanted to use the alarm.

That system is old and dated now and really should be serviced by a pro,

the entire system needs to be checked and fully tested before you put your faith in it, replacing the backup battery on one of these is only a means to an end as they have a habit of reverting to factory settings,and will need reprogramming.

Once you find the endstation (control panel) then the battery is in there.

It's just one small keypad on the wall.Managed to set it yesterday but the alarm activated shortly after leaving,had to switch power off at fuse box to shut it up.Alarm still rang for about 10mins or so, don't want to touch it now lol.

Is it a keypad on a larger box or just a rectangular keypad?

In the main panel, if you don't know what it is or what it looks like your not likely to know how to isolate and make the mains safe before you open it. And dependent on the panel you need to look to see what size it is.

Tried your method gts but the keypad bleeps once when pressing no 9, walked around and nothing showing other than the fault light and no 2.The alarm has two sensors and door and roller shutter door sensors if that helps.I believe the only lights lit when idle should be the power and day?,we are moving some important equipment into the workshop and the use of the alarm would be most useful.

RPK compatible with 9105 and 9100 acorn and me thinks the fault and zone 2 showing on these is a battery failure??,

do not power down ,or remove the battery,this would entail opening the end station and exposing mains feed,check the sensor on the faulty zone,is it a pir ?a little unit that has a red light in it ?to do a walk test, test key in ur user code then press 9 then walk around your home while some one looks at the key pad
