Trev don't throw the towel in just yet,

You can replace the splitter yourself, take a look here,

www.actmeters.com/440-Tamper-Splitter

Me give you little advice mate, chances are engineer won't have splitter on van, he do some meter checks and remove splitter and wire tampers into global,

The splitter is there not just to identify which lines the tamper is on, it's probably fitted for a very good reason, it could cause falsies if removed.

It's an easy swap, mains off, disconnect battery, remove and refit one wire at a time.

What's the numbers on the splitter? We tell you if there's any reset pins on it, the relay sounds as if it's stuck open, would of thought depowering it would of reset the relay though.

We try our best to help you Trev but it sounds like you need a new splitter.

Hope you not in there with mains power on trev?,

Sounds like you have tamper splitter, bet shock sensor is on zone three. These are a great fix for EMI/RFI ( interference ),and for identifying a global tamper fault.

See you can split the tampers from global only into specific zones,

Resetting one? Good question :)

Thanks I've had a good look and the markings on the circuit device are 12v 0v supply. Zone 1 2 3 4. N/C N/O c relay,no three zone red light on.I've tried resetting with engineering code and all four user codes. Nothing, tamper and call engineer lights are still lit.I know i caused the tamper fault when I replaced the shock sensor but I was able to reset after i changed out the battery, got tamper then and reset with engineers code.i'am now at a loss?.

Not being funny but "I Think" is what the Captain of the Titanic said.
Can we have full details as numbers and lights equal a diagnostic sequence we can address.

Thanks the tamper and call engineer lights are lit,the red light is inside the box on a small device with wires.I think the light is above zone 3

This red light on circuit board?

Is it on main board or separate board?

If it small board with four LED's, it's a global tamper splitter and it needs resetting, does this sound like what you have?.

Answer Alarm's questions though, we need to know the panels status and what's going on.

Check the tamper on the new sensor.
Also the lid tamper cannot set correctly if bent.

Is there a zone number on as well at the same time? Is it the tamper or fault light?
