Not picking up bobbin thread?

I have a Singer #4562 and I took the bobbin case out to clean lint and now it will not pick up the bobbin thread. I've changed needle, rethreaded, and tried to reposition the bobbin case several times with no luck. What am I doing wrong? Please help.

was it working before you took bobbin case out?make sure bobbin case it fittrd neatly on seat and lock on left upper corner is against bobbin case as bobbin case can turn in seat and could prevent cotton been picked up
