I have a 2.3 Ford Galaxy which does this. I successfully stopped water from getting into the footwell, but don't know whether your vehicle can be fixed the same way - it's worth a go.
There is a plastic window trim going along the bottom of front window screen, secured by plastic clips and window wiper nut.
Removing the wiper nuts and removing the plastic trim revealed a missing fixing clip at the left hand corner rain channel. This left a hole about 10mm square where rainwater drained and into the vehicle. Sealed this, temporarily with Ducktape, and now no more water. Have had several heavy downpours to test and absolutely dry. It's worth looking in this area on your vehicle...hope it works.
