Mend Ravenheat RSF820/20 Combi Boiler Heat

ravenheat rsf820/20 combi overheating?

the boiler is supplying hot water ok however as soon as the heating is on the heat exchanger boils up & cuts out within thirty seconds.I have replaced the air vent valve and the pump is operating ok but does seem extremely hot with just the hot water selected.Am I looking at a blockage?
