how can i get a spark on my ransomes marquis 5m lawnmower?

i have fuel,compression but no spark.
spark plugs okay. i think it may be to do with the magneto and coil but have no manual to check

Points need cleaning (at least). Some models have a plate in the flywheel you can remove, others require removal of the flywheel to access. That will most likely fix it. If your coil is duff, for a machine of this age you will struggle to find a replacement. You may have to resort to a coil and battery conversion.
