Mend Water Entering Help

Can't stop water entering toilet pan after removing lid - help!?

I took the cistern lid off and now the water is pouring into the pan - how can I stop it?!

Hi,

Is it a dual flush cistern? Try lifting the lid and replacing it again.
There is a plastic tube attached to the push button and syphon, sometimes it gets in the wrong position when the lid is removed.
