Kenwood Dishwasher lower door seal?

I've had to get a new lower door seal for my dishwasher but am having trouble fitting it. I've tried numerous times to wedge it in but each time I think its gripped on and shut the door it falls back out when I open the door. The part came with no instructions. Do I need to remove the inner door panel to get it to hook under the bottom lip? Any help appreciated, thank you.
