Mend Bosch WFMC1001UC Washer Cycle Opened

what is this round wire Bsch Nexxt 100 series washer?

After a wash cycle, I opened my frontloading washer to have this circular wire fall into my hands. I think it surrounds the rubber gasket but not sure. However, it cannot be easily reattached to where I think it goes and the earliest service appt is 7/31. Any thoughts or similar experiences?
Model# WFMC1001UC.

If yours is broke, you will need to replace it, Should not stop you using the m/c, if is the outer clip, just be careful closing the door, have a look at espares.co.uk and you should be able to see a picture of the correct part, they are easy to fit, if not broken, but by looking at picture you will see.
