Ford ka battery light and dipping headlights?

My 52 plate ford ka battery light keeps flicking on and off. headlights also flicker.
It had a problem with the ecu last year, this was sent away to be remapped.
Was ok til a couple of weeks ago when battery light started coming on. Has a new battery and alternator a year ago.
alternator has been checked and is ok when light off but not fully charging when light on. Its starting and driving ok. been to 2 garages who dont know whats wrong. Any ideas please

check engine earth lead for good secure connection,also check small wire from alternator to where it enters loom for breakage in wire and all connections are clean/secure.give wire a tug where it enters loom,this is possibly where it could be broken!
