diplomat dishwasher 8322?

My dishwasher when the cycle is put on sounds perfectly normal and takes the normal amount of time. However the bottom tray is cleaned fairly well, though not as good as usual, but the top tray comes out just as dirty as when it went in. Can someone help. It has been like this now for several weeks.
