2010 plate corsa SE?

it may be worth checking in the boot as somtimes the pipes for the breather run up high then back outside to breath.a pipe may be loose or have a small hole in it if you get a smell in the boot space,or it may just come in through the vents in boot to let stale air out as vent is normally under boot floor

hi bob thanks for that sometimes when i first get into the car i get the smell also it also must linger as well because there are times when i can smell it in the boot space it is frustrating not knowing where its coming from

sometimes you get a wiff of petrol with the windows down.the petrol tank has a breather to let the air in and as petrol splashs about in tank keep pressure down other wise when you took cap off it would come out
