Mend Hotpoint Mistral Freezer Repair Faulty

Hotpoint Mistral High Temp warning light on?

I have a mistral(not sure of model number but it does not have a digital display on the front) and came back from a week's holiday to find the High Temp warning light on. Neither the fridge nor freezer were chilling but the frozen food had not thawed so I guess the fault had just occurred. The unit was still making its usual humming noise. Any ideas?
