Mend Techumseh 35 Starting Seconds Cuts

starting problems?

I have a Vantage 35 Techumseh Lawnchief 35 and when i try to start it, it starts for about 5 seconds and always cuts out. I press the brown primer button before, but it still keeps doing it.

Remove the carburettor bowl and empty it. There's a good chance there is a blob of water in the bottom, which will block the jet. Failing that, remove the entire carb and make sure the main jet is clear.
