Mend Alpine Step Machine Left Side

the left step machine hydraulic has lost power?

the hydraulic on the left hand side of my alpine step machine has lost power. When you step on it, it just falls straight to the floor and doesnt give any resistance. Can this be fixed easily ie does it need oil, new washer etc!
