vitra slow close toilet seat is loose?

i have a vitra toilet with a slow close toilet seat which is loose (lifts up on either side when lifting up). i have tried tightening the screws either side of the seat under the chrome covers and these are secure but there is still movement in the seat cover. please explain how the seat cover is secured.
