water barrel repair?

I read the response to water barrel repair about using silcone and the soldering iron. Both helped somewhat, but there is still a leak. The faucet to the water barrel, was bumped by the riding lawn mower, causing it to get two hairline cracks and one around the faucet entry. We did both of the repairs you suggested and the leak is better, but not gone. what other suggestions do you have to complete get rid of the leak.
