Mend Hotpoint CTD00 Tumble Dryer Problem

hotpoint ctd 00?

My Hotpoint CTD00 Aquarias tumble dryer just buzzes at the start button when pressed and doesn't spin or do anything! it also buzzes if you press the start button without selecting the timer! Any ideas as to what may be the problem? Thankyou.

take off the lid and see if the drum is easy enough to rotate by pushing on, if so remove the lh side panel from back and you will see a capicator on the motor rated at i think 4uf this is most likely faulty
