freidland response alarm ?

hi,planning giving the entire system a service for the up and coming summer. Now I know the system runs on batteries, which I intend replacing.
Just need some advice on where to start really, any help, advice would be greatly appreciated.

I agree with gts,
A thankyou on here is rarely seen, and a quick google search can often turn up the manuals.
Pete`s manual is readily available, and all the info he requires is in there.
As for our previous posts...All I can say pete, and iam sure I can speak for the engineers on here is that your system doesn't no way meet or come close to the bs standard threshold, and that gives us cause for concern, especially if you are safeguarding your property with such a sub standard device.
So I hope you can understand where we are coming from here, its nothing personal,it just concerns us you are putting your faith in a load of inferior rubbish.
I for one wish you all the best with it :)

we do our best to help out people on here, but we get asked so many stupid questions,we just like to have a laugh in our experience, people do not read their manuals ,I.E.we have had a mains failure,my alarm goes off, now, its not brain surgery to know,if mains fail the battery takes over,so,guess what you need to do ?if you said replace the battery,go to the top of the class ,the guys on here are very experienced engineers mate,we give our advice and time freely ,but most of time no one even says thank you for your help,i hope you get your system going now

As your alarm is the wireless type, your outside unit is more than likely wireless as well, ( solar powerd ).I came across one of these units whilst visiting our local tip.
On closer inspection it appeared to have two batteries fitted, which I promptly removed. The larger battery 12v,appeared to be charged via the solar panel ,and the smaller 9v pp3 appeared to be the initial power up battery.

there should be an sab module in the bell box mate but cant be sure because these are not up to bs standard,
we dont use these things, the way to find out is to either get ladder or open the control unit, but disconnect the mains feed (if it has one )before opening the panel then remove lead from the battery,if bell box sounds, then it has a battery in it,

Thankyou,
Just one more thing,is there a battery in the box outside,or is it a sealed unit.

Take off covers, remove PCB.
Now remove the back plates and dust behind them.

Look at nice clean wall.

All the remaining parts, put in the bin.
