how can I clean the ICV of renault 1.4 8v 1998 May?

The car was running beautifully until I lent it to someone.When they brought it back the rpm was over 1500.I want to clean the valve but need details of postion, precautions etc.Also I want to know whether the car is a E7J780 or E7J634.The handbook says there is a sticker on the plate covering the exhaust manifold but this dropped off years ago.Service docs show engine no as BBOC/F004937
