Mend Murray 10/30 Mower Idler Pulley Drive Belt

Murray 10/30 ride on?

I have an old Murray 10/30 rear engined ride on mower which was running perfectly until the idler pulley on the main drive belt went out off line and it now continues to knock the belt off the pulleys. I stripped it all down but I cant see anything worn or bent. Has anyone had a similar problem?
