dont bother with the kit.the 2sd 1577 is equivalent to a bu508af.dry joints on the line driver transformer cause the failure of the transistor in the first place.follow the print back from the base of the transistor and you will find it there.small grey box,if you like.if you however want the kit,which ive never used,then try chas hyde and sons,or cpc at preston.hope to have been useful here!!steve oh ,and grandata. all on the web.
