pioneer torro speedometer ?

hi, my pioneer torro speedometer doesnt work.
the speedo cable was broken and has been replaced and turns when the wheel turns , but the speedo still doesnt work.
it does show gear changes.
as its an assemble... the other dials work fine... rev counter and power.
tried looking for replacement speedometer but its the full assembly, which is a pain since the other 2 work
