How do I fix the interior light on my Nissan Micra Dci?

Hi,

I'm having a problem with the interior light on my car. It has 3 settings, 'on', 'off' and 'automatic' (the middle of the 3 settings - should make the interior car light come on when a door is opened) and I am able to use the manual on/off settings just fine. However, when in the middle setting the light doesn't come on when I open a door...is there anything I can do about this?
