Mend LG WM12311fd Washing Set Wash

LG 8kg direct drive washing machine WM12311fd?

when i put a load in and set up the wash that i want, it wont start from the start button. all it does is the rest of the buttons kind of flash like theres dust or something behind them and there is no response from the start button, unless i turn it off the machine and wait a few hrs... sometimes this works but most of the time this doesnt work.. please help!!! :(
